Local and Long Distance Moving Coverage
Local Moving
King David Moving and Storage provides two types of coverage for our local moving customers. The following is a description of each type of coverage:
Limited Liability
As a Licensed Moving and Storage Company within the state of Illinois we are required to provide limited liability coverage at no additional cost to you, the customer. Under this option, in the event of loss or damage, the maximum liability of the carrier is limited to 30 cents per pound per article. Example: For an item weighting 10 pounds, the maximum liability of company would be 10 lbs x 0.30 = $3.00
Replacement Value Coverage
As a service to our customer we provide insurance through a separate insurance carrier. This coverage must be purchased in advance. The coverage contains options with a deductible or without and covers any amount chosen by you. You may either contact Moving Insurance directly at (888) 893-8835 or speak with one of our relocation representatives for further information and to purchase a policy** Note: This option must be purchased at least 3 days prior to your relocation.**
Long Distance Moving
King David Moving and Storage provide one type of coverage for our long distance moving customers. The following is a description of one type of coverage:

Under this option, in the event of loss or damage, the maximum liability of the carrier is limited to 60 cents per pound per article. Example: For an item weight 10 pounds, the maximum liability of the company wound be 10 lbs x 0.60 = $ 6.00
