How Long in Advance Should I Start Asking For Quotes?
You may start asking for quotes as soon as you think you may need relocation service in the future. Therefore, it is recommended to start asking for quotes at least three months in advance of your planned move. This enables you to receive all the relevant information, as well as making sure you pack only those goods you really wish to take with you. Please keep in mind that we are in a position to offer you our professional moving services once we can plan your move well in advance.
How Long Does it Take To Move?
As you may know this depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your relocation, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance of your items are traveling. Whatever the circumstance, our knowledgeable relocation consultant will offer advice and be able to help you understand what to expect.
Are You Licensed and Insured ?.
Yes. King David Moving is Licensed, Insured, and Bonded by the state of Illinois Commerce Commercial. Also it carries the standard insurance coverage required by the Illinois State Department of Transportation.

What are my Responsibilities ?
It would be better and desirable for you to be present during the packing of your belongings and very important that you take responsibility for your jewelry and other high value items. If at all possible, please take these items with you. If you had to pack these items, we recommend labeling them in order for you to remember where you have located them. You may also make a descriptive note that you have these items on your Bill of Lading. Additionally as a reminder ensure to sign the inventory of your belongings and do not pack any prohibited items.
Can I leave My Clothes in The Drawers of Dresser/Armoire?

Do I Need to Disassemble Items ?
You may and you have a choice. You can disassemble and reassemble items such as furniture and etc. to save some time, or King David Movers can provide this service for you at NO additional charge.
Do my appliances need special attention?
Most refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other electrical or mechanical appliances require special servicing to ensure safe transportation. Any moving parts such as motors on major appliances, washer drums, icemakers and the pickup arm on a phonograph should be securely fastened for shipment. Gas appliances need to be serviced and disconnected prior to your move. It is the owner's responsibility to see that appliances are serviced for shipment before they are loaded on the truck. Upon request and for an additional charge, a moving company will perform this service, using either its own qualified personnel or an authorized service company.
Am I Supposed to Tip The Movers?
Everyone likes a reward for a job well done ! Tipping is an optional, thus many people do. You should decide based on the quality of the move that you receive. Those that do tip tend to give either a small percentage of the entire move, or a small dollar amount per mover per hour. In the end, you should only tip an amount you are comfortable with and they will definitely appreciated
